Indonesian Doctoral Delegation Explores Shanghai’s Digital Government

On May 8, Shanghai DO-Port organized a delegation of over 50 participants from the Governance Doctoral Program of the Institute under Indonesia’s Ministry of Home Affairs (IPDN) to conduct a special research visit to the Shanghai Big Data Center. The delegation toured the center’s operation demonstration platform, focusing on Shanghai’s practices in government service mobile applications and the development and operation of the integrated government service platform. They gained in-depth insights into Shanghai’s innovative experience and proven practices in cross-departmental data collaboration, digital upgrading of government services, targeted delivery of people’s livelihood services, and intelligent urban operation dispatch. Led by the institute’s dean, Muhadam Labolo, M.Si., the visit was accompanied by officers from the Information and Socio-Cultural Division of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia.

This research visit offers a direct opportunity for Indonesian governance professionals to learn from Shanghai’s urban digital transformation achievements. It also further enriches the international cooperation scenarios under the DO-Port Digital Global Expansion ecosystem. The event helps promote and share Shanghai’s experience in digital government services among ASEAN nations, injecting new momentum into friendly exchanges and long-term cooperation between the two countries in relevant fields.
