On March 4, 2026, the Shanghai Institute for Smart City Development was officially appointed as a Vice President Unit of the Shanghai Digital Enterprise Going Global Service Association (SDAGSA).

During the Association's First Council Meeting, Sheng Xuefeng, President of the Institute, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. The appointment marks a significant step in the Institute's commitment to supporting the international expansion of digital enterprises and strengthening global data cooperation.

Strategic Direction
At the event, Qian Xiao, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Data Bureau, emphasized that the Association has entered a phase of "strengthening functions" and outlined three key expectations:

1. Elevate Positioning: Better serve the national strategy of "Going Global" and international data cooperation.

2. Deepen Participation: Member units should actively support the construction of Shanghai's international data cooperation system.

3. Build an Ecosystem: Collaboratively create an open, win-win ecosystem and leverage the platform to contribute Shanghai's strength to global digital development.

Governance & Future Plans
The meeting also approved the establishment of specialized committees, including those for Digital Compliance, Digital Cross-border Infrastructure, and OPC (One Person Company). Under the leadership of the new committees, the Association aims to become a globally recognized platform that bridges Shanghai's digital innovation with international market opportunities.
